Floored!
We have an insulated floor and a sub floor! We put strips of foam sheet insulation in some of the grooves in the floor and strips of wood in others. We glued everything down with Liquid Nails. We used the wood so that we would have something to screw the plywood sub floor to. We topped off the strips with a sheet of foam insulation and then covered all of it with plywood which we screwed down to the strips of wood. We measured the distance between the wood strips and the van walls so we would know where to put the screws.
BOOM! Blog post about the floor done!

YouTube is trouble with a capital T!
I have spent so much money thanks to YouTube. From finding a concealer that won't settle into the fine lines on my face to book recommendations that will teach me how to be stylish like a Parisian to finding a sleeping pad for backpacking that will keep me comfortable and warm (I have many varied interests), YouTube has been there for me helping to reduce my bank account! This was just the tip of the iceberg of what YouTube would soon inspire me to buy.
Early last year I discovered vanlife videos on YouTube. I was quickly hooked. I have always longed to be a minimalist (I know! Doesn't make sense, does it?) so I found vanlife very appealing. I became obsessed with watching van tours and thinking it would be nice to have a camper van. I finally confessed my new interest to my husband and he was on board so fast it made my head spin! Two months later in April of last year we ordered a 2018 Ford Transit cargo van from our local dealership to be shipped to Quigley Motor Company for a 4x4 conversion after Ford finished the build. We were going to have a bonafide adventure mobile! After a very loooong wait we finally picked up our van on January 21, 2019! And so it begins...
